Matthew Rhys and Keri Russell have welcomed their bundle of joy, the first child 'The Americans' stars have had together. WHATS YOUR THOUGHTS ON THIS?
On-screen married couple and parents to two fictional children, “The Americans” stars Keri Russell and Matthew Rhys have welcomed their first real-life child into the world.
Us Weekly reports that Russell gave birth “sometime last week,” with sources saying the actress’ mother and brother have been there since the birth, “doting on the baby.”
The Daily Mail also has photos of the couple carrying their new bundle of joy in New York City Monday (May 30).
This is the first child for Rhys and the third for Russell, who has two children — daughter Willa Lou, 3, and son River, 7 — from her previous marriage to Shane Deary.
“The Americans” romance has been on-going since early 2014. In June of that year, Russell told the Los Angeles Times why she likes acting across from Rhys so much.
“What I enjoy is [Rhys] makes it so easy,” she said at the time. “You feel you’re in safe hands, and it’s enjoyable to work like that because you’re sort of like, let him do all the hard stuff.”
“The Americans” returns in 2017 for Season 5. It has also been renewed for a sixth season.
